OK, I'm not gonna shoot my dog,
I promise.
But did you know this: Sharing commercial fonts
with a third party
is not only unethical, it's a Crime!
You may say to yourself,
"Someone gave this font to me, so what's wrong with my giving it to someone else?"
The problem is... You are accepting stolen goods! It wasn't THERE'S to give you.
In fact, even if I gave you one of my font designs for free, it would not be yours to give to someone else. Why? Because I still hold the rights to it, giving it to you, merely gives you permission to use the font, not to give it to someone else.
Did you know this? Receiving a commercial font from someone unauthorized to sell it, is ALSO a Crime! I've lost literally thousands of dollars in potential income from just ONE of my fonts being shared without my permission.
The bottom line is:
I make my living selling my font designs. So, please, don't "SHARE" fonts that don't belong to you... especially mine.
The money I make goes toward a good cause-- it puts food in Bandit's bowl, and on my table.
I need to keep feeding Bandit, because he eats a lot! Look at him-- isn't he cute?
Wanna be sure about what's legal? TypeSETit License Agreement It basically states, you can use my fonts for anything published (in print, or digitally--like on the web), but that this is a license to use, NOT a transfer of ownership rights... so no sharing, or giving the actual font software away!
