Have you ever seen an Ambigram?
I've always loved doing lettering. As a kid, I was always trying to copy logos for professional sports teams.
That's why when the NHL came to me to help them with a wordmark for the Minnesota Wild, I was more than excited.
They still use the image, but was replaced as the main team logo due to legal issues. That's OK... I still love that they asked me to do it.
Now, I am focusing on making fonts from my hand lettering. Sometimes I work straight from the computer. But when I am designing a font that has a more hand lettered look, I simply do the work on the boards first and scan the images for completion.
I realize this is an ugly picture.
It's OLD too, and I was a lot fatter then!
